Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton believes he can come back stronger than ever next year and has started to put together a winter program to aim for his record-breaking 8th Drivers Championship. He believes he needs more than just training; he needs a recovery. That is a process of re-energizing and dedicating time to himself so he can work to come back stronger.

The Briton wishes to return to the podium once again in the country where he is an honorary citizen. Hamilton fell short of a win to his teammate George Russell last year at the Sao Paulo GP and only managed a P2. According to him, he will aim for a better result this year in front of his very own fans.

In his recent interview reported by The Hindu, Hamilton broke down his plans to make a strong comeback in the 2024 season. He has already planned everything for the next-season training camp during the post-season. The Englishman thinks with all the knowledge and experience he has, he should be able to do better each season. And that he is also trying to get that championship.

Right now I’m thinking about my winter. I’m already setting up my training camp. I’m having that stuff planned so I can come back in the next season stronger than ever.

Lewis Hamilton’s reaction to Mercedes’ Chief Technical Officer resignation.

The Chief Technical Officer of Mercedes, Mike Elliott, has resigned from the team as he neared his contract expiration. Elliott, who was an integral part of the team and a very close ally of Hamilton, would not serve the team anymore. Hamilton first met Elliott at McLaren in 2007 his debut F1 season and has known him since.

He wished his best to a departing acquaintance and did not look at it from a negative point of view but as to what is better for him.

I’ve learned so much from him about aerodynamics for example. I’m thankful to him because he’s been a part of the success that we’ve had over these years.

Now, Mercedes needs to complete the development of their 2024 car without the brain of Elliot. With only three races remaining this season, the closest target for the team is the P2 spot in both the Constructors and Drivers Championship. Hamilton trails the current P2 sitter by 20 points and Mercedes needs to hold off Ferrari for a P2 in Constructors.
