The Mercedes driver recently shed light on this day. Lewis Hamilton mentioned having worked at a pub when he was only 17. He said, “I’ve never been into pubs, I worked at one when I was 17. I was a bartender.” The British driver revealed his earnings at this job. Hamilton was relieved the moment he quit. Lewis stated, “I think I was getting like £3.50 (€3.98) an hour or something ridiculous like that. It was minimum wage. It was a good experience. The best part was when I quit.”

The British driver recalls, “On the last day, I cleaned up the bar, and I was like, ‘What are these drinks that I’ve been giving everyone?” Moreover, the British driver got so drunk that his father, Anthony Hamilton, had to come to the rescue. He said, “I tried everything, and my dad had to come and pick me up!” Accordingly, the 7-time world champion remembers the day fondly as he got really drunk after fulfilling his wish of trying different drinks. Lewis Hamilton concluded, “I was absolutely hammered. I tried a little bit of everything.”
