Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time world champion, will be seen dawning the red of Ferrari from the 2025 F1 season onward. His move has pretty much changed the landscape of the sport and amidst all this, on a light-hearted note, he has taken the time to talk about Italian food.
Italy has a global reputation for having one of the best cuisines. Italians love their food and in keeping up with this, Lewis Hamilton, during the Bahrain GP fan meetup, was recently asked to name his guilty pleasure.

He had his Mercedes teammate, George Russell alongside him and their overall conversation went like this:
George: Pizza is my go-to guilty pleasure […] He’s going to have to say that next year as well.
Lewis: I’m going to have the best pizzas next year. I’m going to have to watch my weight next year so much, because the Italian food… I love Italian food

Looking at the reaction of the duo, it is safe to assume that both Russell and Hamilton are big pizza lovers. Moreover, the latter has taken things up a notch by claiming that he’ll have to watch his weight in Maranello next year, as Italy is well-known for its delicious pizzas.

While Lewis Hamilton has recently touched upon the exquisite pizzas of Italy, all this is coming his way next year. When it comes to the immediate future, he has got the 57-lap Bahrain Grand Prix heading his way. Hamilton did not have the best of qualifying sessions last night.

As things stand, the 39-year-old is slated to start his race from a disappointing ninth place on the grid. He was nowhere near the level of his teammate during qualifying, and as a result, is forced to be starting on the fifth row.

Russell, on the other hand, will get his race going from the third position. However, keeping in view the unpredictable nature of the sport, anything is possible. During the race, there could arise certain scenarios that could help Lewis Hamilton make up places and try to finish as high as possible. The first race of the 2024 F1 season is shaping up nicely and it is surely going to be a thriller around the free-flowing Bahrain International Circuit.
