Lewis Hamilton with the Mercedes team

Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton have always seen the highest of highs ever since the seven time world champion joined the team in 2013. Lewis has won 6 titles with the British manufacturers and helped them to win 8 constructor’s title. This is something that manufacturers can only imagine but Mercedes has made it look simple. But, as we know that nothing is constant and times always change in F1.

It seems like there has shift in power when it comes to F1 as Red Bull and Ferrari look like the teams to beat. All this started at the end of last which saw Max Verstappen defeat Lewis Hamilton in the last lap of the season, which prevented Lewis to win that historic eight world championship which would have made him the outright most successful driver in the history of F1 surpassing Michael Schumacher with seven titles.

It was the case of so close yet so far for Lewis Hamilton. But, we all thought that that both Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton would take that in their stride and come back firing on all cylinders next season. Unfortunately, both of them have struggled to come to terms with the changes in regulations and get on top of their porpoising issues. It’s been one of the worst starts to the season for the Mercedes legend.

Lewis Hamilton, in this time of crisis, has come forward to motivate and encourage the team. He recently said, “There is nothing more rewarding than people coming together to face challenges, beat problems and achieve something great.

My team works hard and I am so grateful for the hours they put in to get us back to that greatness.

We will keep going! If you also face certain challenges, know that I believe in you the same way I believe in my team.”

Lewis Hamilton has always been a leader who knows how to carry the team on his shoulders when the chips are down and that’s exactly what he has done when his team needed the most. Let’s just hope we can see Mercedes reach the high standards that they have set for themselves in the last few seasons.
