Lewis Hamilton unbothered by jewelry conundrum: “Too much time and energy being given”

Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton has made a comeback of sorts in the last week at the Spanish GP but there’s still a lot to do for the seven time world champion to come back and fight for that eight world championship. Credit must go to Mercedes as well who have done a stellar job in getting on top of their ‘porpoising’ issues which had been a thorn in both the drivers’ flesh.
But, Lewis Hamilton has not had to deal with problems on the track. The Brit also has been at arm’s length with the FIA over the jewelry issue. The governing body had decided to get rid of any sort of jewelry while driving in the car keeping in view the safety issues. It’s not something that the FIA was bringing in out of the blue, it’s just a rule that is being reinforced.
Bur, Lewis Hamilton didn’t welcome it with open arms and went on to oppose it. To show his disagreement, he knowingly wore jewelry all of his fingers to go with two watches on one hand before the Miami GP. This was something which was picked up by the FIA which later on went to threaten the former champion with fine on every default act.
Lewis Hamilton intends to focus on his driving rather than the petty jewelry row

It seems like Lewis Hamilton has accepted the decision and wishes to just focus on the driving. He said, “Honestly, I feel like there’s just way too much time and energy being given to this.”
“I’ve said everything I feel I need to say on it in the last races and that’s not what my focus is this weekend [in Monaco].
“[I’ve been] taking out my studs for every time I’ve been in the car, and I will continue to do so. The nose ring is not a problem, at the moment,” as reported by motorsport.
Lewis Hamilton is playing it wise by not fighting it any further as he will the one who’ll be losing. The Brit has bigger issues to deal with at this given point.
