Lewis Hamilton facing issues with Mercedes 2024 car already

The Briton’s unprecedented move to Ferrari in 2025 was viewed from multiple perspectives. However, the majority of the people sided with the seven-time world champion over his move. Some people speculated Mercedes’ degrading challenger performance to be one of the major reasons for the move. Anyhow, the driver wasn’t too keen on diving into the exact reasons for his move to Ferrari.

However, the driver faced multiple issues with his challenger during the initial two race weekends in Formula 1. Initially, Hamilton’s seat was broken during the season opener Bahrain GP. Hence, the driver could only manage a P7 finish down the race. Subsequently, Hamilton’s rear wing came loose during the FP2 session of Saudi Arabian GP.

These issues could prove to be fatal down the season when the driver is potentially competing for a good finish in the driver’s championship. Hence, Mercedes needs to put their heads into the game and provide better opportunities for the driver. The plan currently is to compete for the world championship for Hamilton’s final year at Mercedes in Formula 1.
