Recently, Hamilton expressed his desire to train with the NFL team Denver Broncos, of which he owns a partial stake. Speaking to the media, he said, “I’d love to cross over and do some training with the Denver Broncos now I’m part of them, I’d love to train with the squad.”

In a significant announcement, the seven-time world champion confirmed his involvement as part of a consortium that successfully acquired the National Football League’s Denver Broncos. It was a staggering record price of $4.65 billion in 2022.

The NFL’s Denver Broncos deal had surpassed all previous records in professional sports franchise acquisitions. Lewis Hamilton‘s consortium’s purchase of the team outshines the $2.4 billion spent by billionaire hedge fund manager Steven Cohen to buy the New York Mets baseball team in 2021.

With his remarkable success and continued dominance in Formula 1, Lewis Hamilton has witnessed a substantial increase in his wealth. Utilizing his newfound financial resources, he has actively sought out investment opportunities in various sectors. One particular area that has his interest is sports franchises.

Recognizing the potential for growth and diversification, Hamilton has directed his attention towards investing in sports teams. This is a part of his expanding portfolio. Following his acquisition of the Denver Broncos, his interest in sports ownership extended to football.

Reports claimed that he expressed a desire to join forces with tennis icon Serena Williams to form a consortium and potentially acquire the English football club, Chelsea. Both were reportedly prepared to invest $12 million each for minority stakes in the club. However, despite the initial interest, the deal did not come through. Their involvement in ownership did not materialize.

In another intriguing development, Hamilton had expressed his interest in joining Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s consortium in a bid to acquire ownership of Manchester United. They aimed to displace the Glazer family. Ratcliffe, the wealthiest British individual and owner of INEOS and a partner of the Mercedes F1 team, had drawn Hamilton’s attention with this potential opportunity.

With their shared connection to the world of motorsport, the collaboration between Hamilton and Ratcliffe adds an intriguing dimension to the potential takeover bid for the renowned English football club. Hamilton is preparing himself for life beyond motorsport with investments of this magnitude.
