It is not everyday that you get to see your favourite Formula 1 racer’s seven Championship-winning cars on display in your city. But now, for all the Silverstone inhabitants, their dream has come true as Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton’s 7 formidable title-winning cars will be on display at The Classic, from April 26-28.
The Classic is an exhibition, which takes place at the Northamptonshire circuit, and this time, F1 has decided to put up a special display of all the cars that Lewis had driven to grab the much-coveted-for Drivers’ World Championship in McLaren and Mercedes. The exhibition will be a testament to Hamilton’s superb driving skills and all his years in F1 where he has broken many records and built new ones.
The exhibition will start with Hamilton’s first ever Championship-winning car– the McLaren MP4-23 from 2008. And then the audience will also be able to see all six of Hamilton’s Mercedes racecars from 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 as part of the display. Not just Lewis’ cars, but The Classic will also have a collection of the most magnificent cars from Formula 1 grand prix’s of the 1930s. Cars from the DFV era of 1980’s will also be there.
“It’s real privilege for us” : The Classic Executive comments on getting to display Lewis Hamilton’s Championship-winning cars at the exhibition

The Formula 1 fans always complain about the noise the new engines in F1 make nowadays and how the V8, V10, and V12 engines from the 1990s used to make the most amazing sounds. Well, the fans who visit Silverstone this year are in for a treat as the tracks will again reverberate with the sounds of all those engines as the cars will be seen swerving along the race course for a special display!
“It’s a real privilege for us to have all seven of Lewis’ title-winners on show at The Classic this summer,” said Nick Wigley, chief executive of Goose Live Events, the event-management company in charge of promoting The Classic.
“Lewis is already a legend and his incredible successes will forever be celebrated as a major milestone in motor sport history. This very special display will also be another of the stand-out highlights under this year’s ‘Best of British’ banner at The Classic.“, he further commented.
