“Lewis has forgotten a lot” : Bernie Ecclestone takes another jibe at Lewis Hamilton
Bernie Ecclestone
Bernie Ecclestone is unwilling to address Lewis Hamilton’s comments. Hamilton has forgotten a lot, according to the former Formula One chief executive who does not budge on his assessment.
Because of comments he made on Good Morning Britain in the weeks leading up to the Silverstone Grand Prix weekend, Ecclestone lost credibility. In it, Ecclestone backed Nelson Piquet following his racial slurs against 7-time Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton and declared that he would still take a bullet for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Formula 1 swiftly clarified its position on the comments in a message that read: “The comments made by Bernie Ecclestone are his personal views and are in very stark contrast to position of the modern values of our sport.”
“Yes, maybe I am not sensitive enough. I see things differently. I also stand by one point: Putin was always fair to Formula One. I cannot say that of all Grand Prix organiser,” said Ecclestone while looking back on the scandal. Ecclestone had it tough, notably with Hamilton. The Briton asked why such a man would still have a forum.
“Lewis has forgotten a lot. When Mercedes didn’t want to pay him what he asked for, I immediately said I would pay the difference. Formula 1 needs someone of colour, a Chinese and a woman,” concluded Ecclestone.
