“Losing Spa would be a shame,” Sebastian Vettel stands against cancelling the Belgian Grand Prix

Sebastian Vettel has been in F1 for a long period of time now, and in a this time, he has driven on some of the most amazing and renowned tracks that have been and still are on the grid. At the same time there have been tracks which are long gone from the calendar such as the German Grand Prix. Sebastian Vettel, being a German was also about not ever being able to reason front office home fans earlier this year after the departure of the German Grand Prix. This year, there have been speculations about some of the most prestigious race tracks bidding goodbye to Formula 1.

There have been no contract extensions of the Belgian Grand Prix and the Monaco Grand Prix and the same time Sebastian Vettel stood up for the Belgian Grand Prix. According to him the race is precious and should not be gone from the calendar. He also said that everyone likes to race at Spa but he knows a few drivers who do not like to race in Russia. But this is not because of the country but because there are many similar tracks on the calendar.

Sebastian Vettel reminded of the 2021 incident

The 2021 Belgian Grand Prix was a disaster for the fans as they came in towards the race but the race had to be cancelled after running just a fuel laps because of the horrific rain. This left all the fans in pain and Vettel hard also made a statement earlier that the fans did not deserve it. According to him the fans paid the money and did not get to see the race which was unfair.
“Losing Spa would be “a shame,” says Vettel, as Motorsport-Total quoted.
“I don’t have a vote here, but I would vote for Spa. I think losing Spa was wrong on so many levels.”
All and all according to the four time world champion the race at Belgium should be kept in the calendar and other potential races should be replaced if there is a need.
