The Red Bull Formula One team has been operating in a league of its own and has won every Grand Prix during the ongoing campaign. None of its rivals have been able to rise to the level of Max Verstappen and, occasionally, Sergio Perez in the RB19. However, despite their dominance in the sport over the last 18 months, its former driver, Mark Webber, feels the fans don’t give Red Bull the credit it deserves because of their bias toward Ferrari and Mercedes.

Mark Webber drove for the team between 2007-2013 and was an integral part of the team’s success back then. However, fast-forwarding to today, the Milton-Keynes-based team has become an incredibly mighty outfit that no one has been able to challenge. It’s all thanks to the relentless work the team has put in recent years.

While Webber is pleased with how his previous employers have been doing, he’s not happy with how the team is seen at the pinnacle of motor racing. While talking about the same, he told racingnews365.com, “If they had been a works team, they might have received even more praise. It is still essentially a team made up of fantastic individuals and people who have done a great job to create a beautiful Formula 1 car that can compete for World Championships, which is dominant in so many ways.”

“They have put a lot of effort into this sport. The commitment they have shown, both towards their employees and the sport, has also been very good. A lot of people have come and gone…People sometimes forget that the amount of work that Red Bull has done is extraordinary,” Webber added.

Mark Webber has made it quite clear that Red Bull has done some extraordinary work in F1 and has been reaping the rewards for it. While the team tasted success last year by securing both the Drivers and Constructors Championship, the Christian Horner-led team is on-course to repeating its last’s year’s exploits.

As things stand in 2023, Red Bull comfortably sits at the top of the Constructors standings with 321 points to its name. Its closest rival, at the moment, is the Mercedes F1 team which is currently on 167 points. The gap between the two teams is huge, and thus, Red Bull is breathing easy at the top.

When it comes to the Drivers Championship, the Red Bull drivers are currently 1-2 in the standings, and with the way the other teams have been performing this year, it seems very unlikely that anyone would be able to challenge them this year. Everyone in the paddock is quite aware of this, and some F1 pundits have even acknowledged Red Bull’s dominance on live tv this year.
