Martin Brundle claims Lewis Hamilton believes that he would crash if he talked to the F1 presenter before a race
Martin Brundle was quizzed by a fan about a hilarious myth regarding having a chat with Lewis Hamilton before a race.

The famous F1 presenter Martin Brundle has become well-recognized and respected within the Formula 1 paddock. As the presenter talks with multiple drivers before and after a race, Brundle revealed a fact about talking with Lewis Hamilton before a race.
During a recent Q&A on Sky Sports, the interviewer quizzed Brundle about a hilarious coincidence related to the Briton and him. They asked the presenter if he would still converse with Lewis Hamilton before a race. Brundle responded to this with certainty and claimed that he would talk with him pre-race. However, The 64-year-old insisted on the fact that Hamilton was convinced that he would crash every time he talked with the presenter.
Yeah, I do, and I will. But then also, somebody convinced Lewis that every time he talked to me on the grid, he crashed.Brundle told Sky Sports F1.
In addition to this, the British presenter recalled the Abu Dhabi GP session where he conversed with multiple drivers before the race. However, none of the drivers involved in the session collided afterward including Max Verstappen, thus debunking the myth for the fans. Brundle renounced the fact that his session did not bring bad luck to the drivers during a race.
But I spoke to two of the three podium drivers on the grid in Abu Dhabi and actually could have spoken to Max as well if I’d have been a bit sharper, so I didn’t bring them bad luck.
Martin Brundle does not plan to retire soon from Formula 1
The 64-year-old presenter has been in the sport of Formula 1 for a very long time. His talk sessions with the drivers before the race have been iconic and one of the fan favorites during a race. As Martin Brundle nears the ‘retirement age’, the Briton was questioned about his retirement plans after quitting Formula 1.
However, Brundle did not have a definitive answer to this and claimed that he was unaware of the ‘retirement age’. In addition to this, the presenter insisted that he was in the grid for the following season of 2024 for sure. Subsequently, Martin raised optimism for being in the sport for far beyond 2024.
Regardless of the rumors and myths about Brundle talking with the drivers before a race, the presenter continues his old tradition of questioning the drivers. The veteran is also a huge supporter of another team joining the grid, potentially Andretti joining the grid as he put forth some amazing facts about the inclusion of the team on the Formula 1 grid.
