Max Verstappen has been in sensational form during the 2023 F1 season. He has decimated his competition throughout the campaign and is on the verge of securing the world championship during next month’s Qatar GP. While much has already been said about it, Verstappen has claimed he has no emotion toward the potential prospect.
Max Verstappen has proved to be an unconquerable force behind the wheel of Red Bulls RB19 this year. His teammate, Sergio Perez, has massively struggled to keep pace with him and is currently way behind the Dutchman in the driver’s championship. Verstappen is pleased with his exploits but has admitted that he does not care about when he secures the 2023 title.
While shedding light on the same and the upcoming Qatar GP, the 25-year-old said, as reported by Racingnews.360, “No emotion. If it happens on Saturday, Sunday, or the week after, I know that it’s coming. But it’s not something that I’m thinking about too much. Maybe it’s a good thing? A good night out. Might be a bit slower on the reaction time for the lights [on Sunday].“

“But for me, I don’t really think about it. We’re just experiencing a really amazing year as a team. Also, I don’t care where I win it. It’s not about ‘You need to win it five races in advance’ or the last one. I don’t know. It’s just not something that I’m really thinking about.” Verstappen has clarified that he is not too fussed about securing the title in Qatar or the races after that.

Max Verstappen has got the world at his feet until 2026
While Max Verstappen is on course to secure his third consecutive F1 world championship, he has an extremely good chance of dominating the sport until 2026. The current set of regulations will stay in play until the end of 2025, and considering how well Red Bull has nailed those regulations, Verstappen could remain the top dog for several years to come.
However, it is not going to be an easy thing to do, taking into account the might that Red Bull has got around them at the front end of the grid. Mercedes and Ferrari are no slouches regarding the pinnacle of motor racing. They have a rich history and have everything in their arsenal to pose a real threat to Christian Horner and Co. from 2024 onward.

Moreover, Mercedes has been tipped by several pundits as the outfit that could take the fight to Red Bull during next year’s campaign. But the differentiating factor in all this could be the prolific Max Verstappen. He has honed his skills year after year and has a real possibility of continuing his dominance for at least a few more years.
