Max Verstappen has broken records left and right this season. His record for ten consecutive Grand Prix wins has sealed his name as one of the best drivers F1 has ever seen. While many have questioned his ability over the dominant RB-19, Verstappen has repeatedly silenced his critics with his performances. He recently revealed one trait he thinks has been the key factor in achieving this feat.
Verstappen claimed that his easy-going attitude has been a significant factor in his success. He said that he does not think about the future a lot and focuses on enjoying the present. He also addressed that while this attitude works for him, it might not necessarily do so for someone else. Verstappen said this applies to general life since people with different mindsets can achieve similar goals in their lifetime.
“I just want to enjoy the current moment and I’ll worry about what comes in two weeks at that time. Every person works differently, so it’s not like one thing works for me that will work for someone else,” Verstappen said on Red Bull’s Mind Set Win podcast (H&T: Racing News 365).
After leading Red Bull to their second consecutive Constructors’ tile, Verstappen will aim to seal his third consecutive world title at Qatar this weekend. The 26-year-old has to finish P6 or higher in the sprint on Saturday to be crowned World Champion yet again.

Max Verstappen does not care when and where he wins the Championship
Verstappen is just one sprint race away from winning his third title. If the Dutchman finishes P6 or higher on Saturday, regardless of where Sergio Perez finishes, he will be named the 2023 champion. While many would prefer a race like Las Vegas or Abu Dhabi for their title-winning race, it is not the case for Verstappen.

He said that he knows the title is coming, and is not thinking about it too much. He joked that he might be a little slow on the reaction time on Sunday after partying all night. However, he insisted again that he is just focused on the race and is not thinking about the accolade coming with it.
“No emotion. If it happens on Saturday, Sunday, or the week after, I know that it’s coming. But it’s not something that I’m thinking about too much. Maybe it’s a good thing? A good night out. Might be a bit slower on the reaction time for the lights,” said Verstappen.
