Max Verstappen has been ruling over the pinnacle of motor racing under the new regulations era. None of his rivals have been able to stand up against him in recent years, and amidst his ever-growing stature in the sport, he has explained the crucial role his family has played in pushing him to reach the top. Verstappen has a lot of gratitude toward his family.
Verstappen secured his third consecutive F1 world championship at the 2023 Qatar Grand Prix event. He only needed a few points to finish the job and secured the title during Saturday’s Sprint race. Since then, he has received praise worldwide for his exploits and has recently taken the time to thank his family for everything they have done for him.
While shedding light on the same, he told Motorsport, “They have contributed a lot to who I am today. They have always tried to push me to the top. It’s very nice to share moments like this together.” While specifically mentioning his mother, he added, “Luckily I was able to Facetime with my mother very soon after the race. I could already see that she was drinking champagne. That was good to see. She is very proud.”
Verstappen shares a special relationship with his father (Jos Verstappen), who was present in the paddock during the triumph and while talking about it, he said, “It’s nice to have him around. He has his own family with small children, so he can’t come to all the races, and he still races himself. He is there for the most important races. I worked with him for so many years to get here and achieve our goals. It is really nice to do this together.”

Max Verstappen has got the world at his feet
Max Verstappen had to work his socks off to secure his first world championship in the 2021 F1 season. However, since then, he has upped his game massively and decimated his rivals quite comfortably. The ongoing 2023 F1 season is a prime example of the level of domination Verstappen has shown. Considering the might of Red Bull under the new regulations, he has a very real chance of dominating the sport at least until 2026.
The current set of regulations will remain in play until the end of 2025, and the rest of the F1 teams are yet to get on top of it fully. The RB19 has proved to be nothing short of a beast this year, and in the hands of Verstappen, it transforms into an inconquerable machinery whenever he takes it out on tracks during F1 Grand Prix events.
