Dutch driver Max Verstappen was hailed the world champion for the third consecutive season in a row. Verstappen had raced for Toro Rosso [presently AlphaTauri] in 2015 and a few rounds in 2016. The 26-year-old worked under Franz Tost who has since retired from the team. Now, Verstappen has hinted at his style as a racing team boss.

In the past, Verstappen has revealed his plans of preparing a GT3 team for 2025 under the Verstappen.com label. The 26-year-old shed some light on his ways if he served as the team boss of his GT team. He exclaimed that he would be an old-school leader and a bit old-fashioned and would only care about the performance of the team.

No bullsh*t, I'd be an old school leader. Maybe even a little ’ old-fashioned, because I would only care about performance and not of the social world. I want to win because it silences all the talk. It is the most important thing for me
Verstappen said, as reported by f1ingenerale.com.

In addition to talking about his methodology for leading the GT3 team, he also applauded the AlphaTauri principle in the process. He claimed that he resonated with the ideology of Tost in leading his team. Additionally, Verstappen commented that the show aspect of racing distracts drivers from driving successfully during the races.

I've always been fine with him. It was old school, in fact, he was only interested in performance and not in the show, which distracts from driving. He worked closely with the engineers, he clearly told them when things weren't going well. He didn't want to make a name for himself by chasing the limelight

Max Verstappen highlights the ‘weakness’ of the dominant RB19

In addition to talking about his future after F1, Max Verstappen had also commented on the weakness of the dominant RB19. Although the car helped the team achieve an astonishing 21 victories out of 22 victories, the car somewhat failed at producing the desired results at the Singapore GP and hence made the team miss a perfect season of 22 victories in a season.

Verstappen highlighted that the issue with the RB19 seemed to show up at street circuits and it was one of their weakness. Additionally, he exclaimed that low speed was not the strong suit of the RB19 and was a major area where the team could potentially improve over the next season.

Despite the performances this season, the team alongside Max Verstappen aims at creating a somewhat similar performance to this season. The development for RB20 has been going on in a full-swing mode as the team prepares itself over the winter break.
