Max Verstappen has been a shining star at the pinnacle of motor racing in recent years. He has annihilated his rivals quite easily since the dawn of the new F1 regulations and amidst his ever-growing stature in the sport, he has recently made it known that he wishes for Ferrari President, John Elkann to call him regarding Michael Schumacher’s 2004 championship-winning F1 car.

Max Verstappen’s list of accolades has grown significantly under the new regulations, but despite this fact, he still has certain specific wishes. He wants a personal garage with all the Red Bull cars that he has won a Championship with and also wants to have Michael Schumacher’s 2004 title-winning car, the F2004.

While talking about the same recently, he made a request to John Elkann and told La Gazetta dello Sport, “I would like to have in my garage all the Red Bull cars with which I have won an F1 world championship, in addition to Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari F2004. He further added, “I don’t know how I would buy it. This is an appeal to John Elkann – I hope he reads this interview and maybe calls me.”

Looking at the comments of the 3-time F1 world champion, it is quite clear that he ardently wants to have Schimacher’s F2004 car in his garage. However, considering how valuable that piece of machinery is to date, it seems very unlikely that Elkann would be willing to just hand it over to Verstappen. He could send a replica if things go well between the two.

Max Verstappen has a very real chance of dominating F1 for several years

While Max Verstappen has his eyes set on Michael Schumacher’s 2004 Ferrari Formula 1 car, the former is at the peak of his career and has a chance of continuing his rich vein of form for many years. Under the new regulations, the 26-year-old has proved to be too mighty for the rest of the drivers at the pinnacle of motor racing.

The current set of regulations is going to stay active until the end of the 2025 campaign, and considering how well Red Bull has done since 2022 in terms of producing potent cars, the Dutchman has every chance of securing all the F1 titles until 2026. He is currently on three and could add 2 more by the time 2026 comes around.

However, it has been two years since the arrival of the new regs and it is not going to be like a walk in the park for Max Verstappen to secure the Championship in the upcoming years. Mercedes has been tipped by many as the team that could challenge Red Bull and also there is the ever-looming threat of Ferrari coming up with the goods.
