“Max Verstappen has already won,” Italian media claim Dutchman has already won the 2022 F1 title amidst growing concerns at Ferrari

Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc

Max Verstappen won his home race the second time in a row after bashing Ferrari once again this season. Max has won 10 out of the 15 races this season, it’s the total number of races he won last season to collect his first World championship. Though he has been on a run to for a second championship, he seems to have a walk for the title now.

Ferrari, the Italian powerhouse, seems to almost lose their grip on the championship after losing another race to Max. It’s worth saying, Verstappen single-handedly won Red Bull’s 2022 championship. Though there is time for the conclusion of the 2022 season, Italian media seems to have given up on the hopes of the title returning to Maranello.

“Max Verstappen has already won this world championship and while he waits for the title to become a calculus, he is taking away the last possible treat,” mentioned Italian media.

Ferrari could now consider themselves out of the championship hunt. The Italian team started the season with a mind-blowing 1-2 in the very first race. That excited the Tifosis for the upcoming season with their hopes of a title-winning year. Though the things changed from the fourth race when Ferrari lost out to their decade-old rivals Red Bull.

But things are now so bad for Ferrari, that their national media seems to give them a good knock of criticism. “He’s been performing badly for three races now. Are they targeting Williams perhaps?” said Corriere Della Sera.

Ferrari is currently lagging 134 points behind Red Bull with Charles Leclerc equalling Sergio Perez in the second position, 109 points off to Max Verstappen. The next stop being Monza, Ferrari will come out and give their level best to make their home race as special.
