Brad Pitt‘s presence at the British Grand Prix has caused mixed reactions among attendees. While many were thrilled to see the renowned actor at Silverstone, not everyone shared the same sentiment. One notable skeptic was Red Bull driver Max Verstappen who voiced his disapproval of Brad Pitt’s appearance during the race weekend.

The Dutchman expressed to Motorsport.com that he believed they would include footage of all the drivers, particularly using onboard cameras. He mentioned that he had no interest in the matter, as films are typically designed to entertain and may not accurately represent reality. Despite this, he stated that he had no major concerns about the situation and didn’t pay much attention to it.

“I think they’re going to use some shots of everybody, in terms of onboard cameras and stuff,” said Max Verstappen. “I completely can’t be bothered with this. In the end, a film is always made to create a little bit of a show in it. Because yes, of course, it won’t all be real. But I think it’s all fine. I’m actually not that much into it,” he concluded.

Brad Pitt and director Kosinski made a special appearance at the drivers briefing in Silverstone. They introduced themselves and expressed gratitude to the drivers for any inconveniences caused during the filming of the F1 movie. Shooting commenced this weekend after extensive preparations. The film’s fictional 11th team was prominent in the paddock and pitlane at the British Grand Prix.

Unlike Max Verstappen, however, other drivers enjoyed welcoming Brad Pitt into the Formula One world. GPDA director George Russell commented that seeing a worldwide superstar like Brad Pitt for the first time was surreal. At the same time, Charles Leclerc expressed that it was enjoyable and unexpected to see Brad in the drivers’ briefing, considering it a new and pleasant surprise. Pierre Gasly, too, extended his support to Pitt attending the drivers’ briefing.

“I think it’s one of those when you when you see a worldwide superstar for the first time, it’s quite surreal,” George Russell stated. “It’s fun, it’s a new face and definitely quite unexpected to see Brad in the drivers’ briefing,” said Charles Leclerc.
