F1 commentator believes no one was at fault during Daniel Ricciardo and Alex Albon’s crash
As mentioned earlier, at the start of the race, Daniel Ricciardo and Alex Albon got into a crash leaving both of them stranded off the track right into the barriers. Albon who was frustrated by it, was seen mentioning on the radio that Ricciardo had squeezed him and he had nowhere to go.
However, F1 commentator, Anthony Davidson thinks otherwise.
(Albon) got himself in a risky position just from being on the outside of the track. For me, that’s just a racing incident, wrong place, wrong time. It wasn’t Albon’s fault, it wasn’t Ricciardo’s fault, it’s a racing incident.Anthony Davidson said during Japanese GP commentary: news.com
Whoever’s fault it might be or might not be, it was an unfortunate incident for both Alex Albon and Daniel Ricciardo. Particularly even worse for Williams as they do not have an extra chassis. Things are not looking bright for the duo going ahead into the next event.
