Max Verstappen REVEALS his plans for the future and it involves a stint with Ferrari
Max Verstappen has managed to hone his skills year after year in F1.

Max Verstappen and Ferrari
Max Verstappen has been decimating his competition left and right for the last few years. He has been on a tremendous upward trajectory at the pinnacle of motor racing and amidst his ever-tightening grip, he has talked about having a possible future with the Ferrari F1 team. Verstappen’s current deal with Red Bull runs until the end of 2028.
Max Verstappen has very quickly established himself as the hottest property in F1. He secured his third world championship at the recently concluded Qatar Grand Prix weekend and has further added a few stars to his F1 legacy. Red Bull has previously on several times admitted that he is their most prized possession in the sport.
While Verstappen has a contract at Red Bull until the end of 2028, he was recently asked about envisioning a potential future with the Fred Vasseur-led Ferrari F1 team. While shedding light on the same, he added, “Ferrari has an incredible history in this sport and is a formidable opponent to compete against. Future at Ferrari? When my current contract expires, I will be 31, and I think I can still do well.”
The 26-year-old has left no stone unturned in applauding the might of Ferrari as a Formula 1 team. He is well aware of the rich history of the Italian brand and has admitted that when his current deal runs out, he would be open to trying his hands in Ferrari machinery. However, despite Verstappen’s optimism, nothing can be said for sure as his current deal still has 5 years remaining on it.

Max Verstappen is a highly sought-after F1 driver
While Max Verstappen has kept the door open for a potential future link-up with the Ferrari F1 team, one has to keep in mind how much he is in demand at the pinnacle of motor racing. His reputation as an F1 driver has increased 10-fold in recent years and when he becomes available, almost all the F1 teams would want to have him in their respective cars.

Teams like Mercedes, and McLaren could also be potential options for Verstappen alongside Ferrari after 2028. The two teams also have a rich history in F1 and would love to have the services of the Dutchman at their disposal. Moreover, Formula 1 is an unpredictable sport, where things change in the blink of an eye.

Considering this, if things don’t work out well with the Red Bull F1 team in the upcoming years for Max Verstappen, he could push for an exit before the end of his current deal. If this certainly happens to be the case, most of the F1 teams would be seen tussling with each other to get his signature on a multi-year contract.
