The opening ceremony of the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix has ended, and the reigning Formula 1 world champion, Max Verstappen, has straightway come into the limelight for making a controversial comment. He had made it known that he did not have the best of times during the opening ceremony.
The 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend has officially got underway with the culmination of its grand opening ceremony. The event had several world-renowned artists performing, from Steve Aoki to the famous Journey band; the event was a star-studded affair.
However, there was one guy in the name of Max Verstappen who was not too pleased with it. As the driver pairings were introduced during the event, they all were made to stand on several stages, and this did not sit too well with Verstappen. While talking about it afterward, he told ESPNF1:
We are just standing up there looking like a clown.

Looking at the stern reaction of the 26-year-old, it is quite clear that he did not have a good time during the Las Vegas GP opening ceremony. While Verstappen was not too pleased with it, some drivers must have found the event great as a lot of effort was put into making it a reality.
Max Verstappen has got a tricky Las Vegas GP ahead of him
While Max Verstappen has made a negative comment about the Las Vegas event from the get-go, he is not going to have a chill time during the next three days. The cars will hit the Las Vegas strip tomorrow, and it will be crucial for him and the other drivers to get accustomed to the alien surroundings as soon as possible.
Moreover, with the event being a night race in Las Vegas, the temperatures around the circuit will also play a crucial role in deciding the grid order. Since Singapore, it is probably the first time that Verstappen and Co. are not going into a race weekend as the absolute favorites.

The Las Vegas F1 circuit is a 6.201 km long track and has got one straight that is ridiculously long. Considering the straight-line speed of Red Bulls mighty RB19, Max Verstappen could prove to be the pace setter at the track from tomorrow’s Free Practice 1 session onwards.
