Max Verstappen, the reigning F1 world champion, has been on a sensational run since 2022. While his on-track exploits have proved too mighty for his rivals, his antics outside of the sport have been quite noteworthy as well. Verstappen during this year, made people aware that he is planning to launch his own GT3(grand touring) team.
While the noise around this was not much in recent times, it has once again picked up pace as Max Verstappen tested his team’s GT3 car yesterday. He took it for a spin at a specific circuit and also had his father, Jos Verstappen accompanying him during the testing cycle.
The 26-year-old is extremely serious about his GT3 project and wants to give it his all to make sure his team reaches the very top of endurance racing. Verstappen has a clear vision for his team and it was also made known in the past that he is doing it under the Verstappen.com banner.

The Dutchman is currently the hottest property at the pinnacle of motor racing and whatever he has touched in the last few years, has turned out to be gold. Keeping this in view and Verstappen’s desire to succeed in the GT3 world, he could take the sport by storm when his team eventually makes its racing debut.
Max Verstappen plans to hit the GT3 world by 2025
While Max Verstappen has recently tested his team’s GT3 car, there is a long road ahead for him and his team. During August this year, he came out and talked about his GT3 venture and told Motorsport;
We are working on it at the moment. Next year will be tight, but I would like to have it as soon as possible. Having a GT3 team in 2025 with a minimum of two cars should be possible.
Looking at the reaction of the Dutchman, it is safe to assume that in all likelihood Verstappen will have his team competing in the GT3 world from 2025 onwards. He has kept the door open on a potential 2024 debut but has admitted that it would be quite difficult.
