Max Verstappen‘s impressive run of eight consecutive victories persisted, casting a shadow over the competition at the renowned Spa-Francorchamps track. With a remarkable lead of 32 seconds, the Dutch driver crossed the finish line, leaving Charles Leclerc‘s Ferrari trailing as the first non-Red Bull car.
Max Verstappen mentioned that Red Bull’s success stems from a blend of the car’s performance and the driver’s skills. He also acknowledged having driven several commendable races personally. However, the Red Bull driver emphasized that a top-notch car is essential, as one cannot achieve such results without it. Verstappen stated that this synchronization between driver and car is crucial.
“Of course, it’s a combination of the two [car and driver]. I think I’ve driven a few good races myself, but in the end, you can’t do that without a very good car, so of course that always has to coincide,” Verstappen said, as reported by Racingnews.360.
Many teams and fans are worried about Red Bull’s strong performance, fearing it might become as dominant as Mercedes was with Hamilton. Max Verstappen won his 10th race this season at the Belgian Grand Prix. He’s now 125 points ahead of his Sergio Perez, making it likely that he’ll win his third championship in a row.

In the same interview, Max Verstappen commented that success relies on the nuances each weekend, emphasizing the importance of timing and avoiding complications. He noted that while anyone can push hard, doing so strategically and staying clear of issues matters significantly.
Regarding the path to becoming a World Champion, he stated that consistency and consistent performance are key. He added that he places personal pressure on himself to achieve the best possible outcome.
“Every weekend it’s at the little details. Anyone can go hard, but go hard at the right time and stay out of trouble. In the end, to be World Champion you just have to be consistent and perform consistently. That’s always the pressure I put on myself to get it done as well as possible,” he concluded.
Red Bull Racing and Max Verstappen’s clear control in the 2023 season have amazed fans and experts. They’ve won 12 races in a row before the summer break. The idea of Red Bull winning all the races this season went from being a far-off wish to something that could happen.
