Red Bull Racing has been in a constant back and forth following the shocking allegations against the team principal Christian Horner. The Austrian team’s dominating performance might been overshadowed by the off-track scandal of the 50-year-old. Now, Max Verstappen’s father Jos Verstappen has once again spoken over the status quo.

Jos Verstappen hinted that all the developments of the team boss were unable to be followed by the outside world. Hence, Verstappen Sr. believes that ‘peace’ within the team was necessary regarding Christian Horner‘s investigation saga. Additionally, the former driver highlighted how the issues will continue for a while and not ‘help the process’. Previously, the 52-year-old had talked about the soured relationship between the two.

It's certainly hard for the outside world to follow, I think it's necessary to get peace within the team, but given the circumstances, I think it will continue for a while. I'm curious, but it doesn't help the whole process.
Jos Verstappen said, as reported by racingnews365.com.

Apart from this, Verstappen Sr. was asked about a potential ‘power battle’ within Milton Keynes. The 52-year-old mentioned that there was definitely a power struggle going on. Although he did not name the people involved. Additionally, Jos Verstappen reiterated his hopes of ‘peace’ returning to the team. Finally, the former Dutch driver wished for everything to return back to normal and for Milton Keynes to focus on the racing.

There is definitely a certain power struggle going on. We're going to see, I can't say too much about it. I hope peace returns soon and they start concentrating on racing because that's what it's all about. But this is not good.

Jos Verstappen wants Max Verstappen to continue F1 dominance

The Austrian team has been making great strides down the 2024 season already. Hence, Max Verstappen‘s priorities were clear regarding his Formula 1 career. Additionally, the most important thing for Jos Verstappen was to see his son winning races in Formula 1 despite the off-track issues with the team.

I don't know what should happen, The most important thing for us is that Max keeps winning, and he does.

Apart from this, Verstappen Sr. pointed to how the 2024 Red Bull challenger was performing well and there was no sourness between the engineers and the Dutchman. However, the reigning world champion was questioned often about Horner’s updates. Hence, this was highly disliked by the 26-year-old. Regardless, all this was the other side of Formula 1 according to Jos Verstappen.

The car is very good, and between the engineers and Max, there is nothing going on, so that is also good. Max knows how to get that part out, too, but he gets a lot of questions about what’s going on and he doesn’t like that. But that’s also part of it, the other side of Formula 1.

Hence, the team will continue to power through the 2024 season despite the off-track issues. Milton Keynes has been maximizing results already from the initial two races. Hence, time will tell about how well the team copes with the team principal’s issues and the season. Currently, as things are, Red Bull would likely dominate the entirety of the 2024 season.
