The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the biggest motorsport spectacles of the year. Some of the best drivers participate in the event with legendary cars. The 2023 iteration of the festival will include the two drivers of the McLaren F1 Team, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. The two drivers will represent the iconic British outfit.
The news was confirmed on social media by the Goodwood Festival of Speed as well as McLaren. This year’s event will take place from 13-16th July. As drives take the iconic hill climb in England. Although for now, the cars that will be driven by Norris and Piastri are not confirmed. It is expected that the two will get their hands on old F1 machinery.
Certainly, the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed will be an exciting affair for fans of the Woking-based team. Lando and Oscar will get a chance to have an experience outside of the F1 calendar and provide an entertaining spectacle. McLaren far behind championship targets

The Woking-based team has fallen behind the pecking order in 2023. Currently, McLaren stands at P6 in the standings behind Alpine. Team Principal Andrea Stella confirmed that the team is behind its expected development targets for the season. This could potentially make Norris reconsider his future at the British outfit for the long term.
Lando has been an integral part of McLaren since his debut in 2019. The 23-year-old has the ambition of winning the world championship. However, the Briton might need to look elsewhere if the team fails to improve. Norris is believed to already be on the radar of Audi with the Andreas Seidl connection. Lando had a great relationship with Seidl during the latter’s time as McLaren Team Principal.
Thus, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri will partake in the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The two drivers will get a break from the team’s difficult season so far. As such, both Norris and Piastri would get an opportunity to enjoy driving some great cars in front of a passionate crowd. As such, this event might be the most thrilling spectacle for McLaren fans.
