Mercedes brutally trolls Spanish newspaper for misspelling the names of ‘Lewis Hamilton’ and ‘George Russell’
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton
Mercedes has this knack of being hilarious on Twitter from time to time and they have once again stolen the limelight with their extremely tweet. At the start of the week, the official twitter account of Mercedes had casually asked their fans if they were ready to be hurt again? That tweet came in the wake of the kind of struggles that the team has to face this season and left their fans perplexed with their performances.
But, it was a much better weekend for the German manufacturer as George Russell and Lewis Hamilton secured P3 and P4. That doesn’t mean they have gotten on top of their problems. It was a painful experience for both the drivers, especially Lewis Hamilton, who hobbled his way into the garage after he picked up a back pain due to all the bouncing and porpoising on the extra long and fast straights of Baku.
The duo needed the retirements from Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz to be able to achieve this feat but they would take it considering the ongoing issues with the car. This was the highlight on the track but the thing that caught the netizen’s attention was this Spanish newspaper which got the names of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell horribly wrong and were mercilessly trolled by the Mercedes’ official Twitter team.

But, all the jokes apart, this was something that was needed for the team who have been struggling to gain any sort of momentum. A little relieved George Russell said, “It’s always a team effort. We’ve got to be there at the end.”
“We would have loved to be a bit more in the fight. We probably weren’t as far away as we expected to be honest.”
“We were a little bit quicker than we anticipated, especially compared to the midfield, so silver lining but obviously work to do,” as reported by Formula1.
‘Jorge Russel’ and ‘Luis Hamilton’ might have had a decent result in Baku but Mercedes has a ton of work to do just like the writers of that Spanish newspaper.
