Mercedes is one of the most successful F1 teams to ever exist. When it comes to their performance in the turbo hybrid, saying that it was impressive is an understatement that team has managed to win multiple championships over the years. The Brackley based F1 squad has proved to be dangerously dominant with their strong package from 2014-2021.

With the new rules coming into play, it’s like Mercedes’s dominance has almost vanished. With Lewis Hamilton at the helm. the team has tasted victory countless times. Ahead of the 2023 F1 season, the team decided to do a shakedown of the car before pre-season testing goes underway. This shakedown was done in Silverstone which is very close to the team’s factory.

While teams like Red Bull are still hesitant to show their real car before pre-season testing, Ferrari and Mercedes have been pretty brave as they showcased theirs. The Brackley based team got their W-14 on track for the first time where Lewis Hamilton got the chance to drive it. The fans were pretty excited to see the team’s newest challenger in action.

Lewis Hamilton had a record for winning a race every season that he competed in the pinnacle of motorsport. However, his long streak was broken last year when Mercedes did not have the machinery to do so. With the W-14 looking like its here to shine, there might still be a chance for the Knight to finally acquire his 8th world championship title. It’s all to play for in the 2023 F1 season.
