James Vowels the Mercedes Formula One team’s chief strategist has recently shed some light on the progress that is being made at the Mercedes team shop since the completion of the Australian Grand Prix.

The Brackley-based Mercedes team has had a pretty mediocre start to their 2022 Formula One campaign as compared to the high flying starts that they were used to during the turbo-hybrid era.

The team is currently the third quickest on the F1 grid but despite having a lesser car they are P2 in the World Championship with George Russell.

The W13 may not be as fast as the Red Bull but is more reliable and that has helped the team in going ahead of the mighty Red Bull team. James vowels view this as a positive for the team and are very optimistic about improved performances in the coming month of the 2022 season.

James Vowels has loads of experience when it comes to motorsports and is well aware that the season is long and is doing his best to improve the car as much as possible to give their star drivers a chance of competing with Ferrari and Red Bull.

“The work that takes place now is a review of what has happened in Melbourne.”

“An understanding of what we need to do going forward into Imola, to progress the car into a championship winner,” said, Vowels.

The silver arrows are hard at work at their workshops and given what Vowels have said, it seems Mercedes is slowly and steadily making progress and are confident about what they need to do in order to make sure they have a solid car that is worthy of challenging for the title.

The Imola GP is in six days and the clock has started for all the teams and especially for Mercedes to come up with a car that would be able to perform well during the upcoming Grand Prix.
