It has been 10 years(Dec 29, 2013) since Michael Schumacher’s tragic skiing accident. While the F1 legend is still in a coma fighting for his life at his home in Switzerland, his family has decided to sell a Ferrari F430 Spider that was gifted to them by him.

Michael Schumacher is a former 7-time F1 world champion and does not require an introduction. The car that his family has decided to sell was given to him by Ferrari in 2005 the year in which he was to hand over the world champion title to then-winner, Fernando Alonso.

The Ferrari F430 Spider is a single-seater luxury car that has a left-hand drive model with the popular Ferrari combination of red exterior and beige interior. Moreover, it is complemented nicely by a black hood that gives the car an overall aesthetic look.

If this is not enough to entice potential buyers alongside Michael Schumacher’s name, the car also boasts a top speed of 311 km/h. It has a 4.3-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that delivers 490 horsepower. The car can also go from 0-100 within a span of a mere four seconds.

Jean Todt on Michael Schumacher’s health

While Michael Schumacher’s family is selling the Ferrari 430 Spider which was given to them by Michael himself, the former Ferrari boss/FIA President, Jean Todt, who happens to be a close friend of the Schumacher family, recently gave an update on Michael’s health.

He added;

Michael is here, so I don't miss him. He's just not the Michael he used to be. He is different and he is wonderfully guided by his wife and children, who protect him.

Looking at the reaction of Todt, it is quite clear that the Schumacher family is doing everything they can to help Michael. Michael Schumacher is an absolute legend of the pinnacle of motor racing. He has a huge fanbase all over the world who are praying for his recovery every day. In case the German comes out of his coma in the upcoming years, that occasion would be a huge day of celebration in the world of motorsports.
