“Mick belongs in Formula One,” Former F1 driver feels Guenther Steiner would be a “fool” to not retain Mick Schumacher for 2023

Mick Schumacher, the Haas F1 driver, has been the talk of the F1 paddock because of his contract situation with his team, and former driver, Hans-Joachim Stuck has also shared his thoughts on it.
Mick Schumacher is in a tussle with Nico Hulkenberg for the 2023 seat on the Haas F1 team and as things stand, the latter is in a better position to get the seat.
Moreover, Guenther Steiner while talking about the seat has recently said, “For me, it’s no longer about one race, one lap, it’s about what’s best for the Haas team in the medium to long term.”
He further stated that he wants a driver, “who is capable of leading the team stably into the future.”
Everything indicates that Steiner has set his mind on giving the experienced Hulkenberg a go at the Haas’s livery for next year and this is detrimental, as far as the Schumacher is concerned.
If Nico Hulkenberg manages to secure the seat, then Mick Schumacher would most definitely be out of the sport for at least a year.
Hans-Joachim Stuck has urged Guenther Steiner to stick with Mick Schumacher for 2023
While all the indicators, at the moment, are not appearing to be in favor of Mick Schumacher, Hans-Joachim Stuck has come out in support of him and has indicated that the German belongs in F1.
While talking about the same, he added, “Unfortunately, Audi is still too early for Mick because they won’t be there until 2026.”
“If he’s not in Formula 1 then, he’s gone. That’s very clear. “I also say very clearly that Mick belongs in Formula 1.“
“A young driver sometimes has to throw a car away because he doesn’t know what the limit is.”
“Gunther Steiner has made a mistake in putting unnecessary pressure on Mick with his criticism. I say if someone has a seat and doesn’t take Mick, he’s a fool. Once he’s in the right car, he’ll be a big one in the future.”
Stuck is adamant that Guenther Steiner made the mistake of putting too much pressure on Mick Schumacher after his early season crashes and feels that he should stay in F1, as in his opinion, he is one for the future.
