Aston Martin started off the season in great form. The team had the pace to challenge the Red Bulls for the top spot potentially. However, After the mid-season break, the Silverstone-based team faced a massive performance slump.
Fernando Alonso scored points consistently and held the third position in the Drivers’ championship. However, even the 42-year-old veteran found it difficult to manage the great results that the team scored in the beginning. This state of the team has evidently upset the team owner, Lawrence Stroll.

The team boss, Mike Krack, expressed his disappointment in addition to Stroll’s. Krack claimed that the team was aware of the slump and didn’t need Lawrence Stroll to inform them about it repeatedly. Subsequently, the boss acknowledged the unhappiness from Stroll.
Lawrence [Stroll] is not happy, but we are not happy either, Nobody is happy when you have such a great start to the season, and then lose competitiveness, but we don’t need [Lawrence] to tell us, but we also have to accept that he is not [happy].
Krack said, as reported by racingnews365.com.
Additionally, Krack explained that the Stroll-owned team needed to work collaboratively and be open-minded to changes within the team. The Luxemburgish boss exclaimed that the team wasn’t proud enough to make any decisions and ruled out the possibility of a probable ‘bug in the system’.
It is the situation that we are in, we are a strong team, and have to work collaboratively, and be open-minded to get out of it. But we are not too proud to make any decisions, and there is no bug in the system.
Fernando Alonso shares disappointment with Lawrence Stroll
The Spaniard was not a stranger to the problems faced within Lawrence Stroll’s outfit. After failing to reach the start of the season performance, even Aloso had to express his dissatisfaction with the team and unsuccessful upgrades to the car.

The Veteran claimed that Aston Martin would eventually get surpassed by McLaren [which it did] and also added that he, too, would get surpassed by the subsequent drivers. The Asturian finally added that the team was not working on any new updates within the car and looked forward to developing the car for the next season rather than upgrading the ever-so-slow AMR23.
Aston Martin’s drivers and crew members are undoubtedly dissatisfied with the current state of the team. Regardless, The two drivers have shown amazing pace and improvement from the materials available. Lawrence Stroll’s team now aims to score better results in the next season of Formula 1.
