‘Miracles happen,’ Lewis Hamilton sends a wholesome message to Anitta’s father before lung cancer surgery

7-time Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton has won everyone’s hearts yet again with a heartwarming gesture for one of his most loyal fans. The loyal fan in question is none other than renowned Brazilian singer Anitta’s father Mauro Machado.
The ‘Envolver’ singer’s father suffered from a stroke last week and under subsequent screening, lung cancer was detected. This worried Anitta and her family and their well-wishers given the panic ensued in such a discovery.
The operation was prompted by renowned cardiologist Ludhmilla Hajjar, whom Anitta saluted in a series of videos on the stories platform as well as in a timeline post. “I came to tell you that miracles happen and prayers work,” said the 29-year-old musician in one of those videos.

Lewis Hamilton’s message to Mauro Machado
In the heartwarming video, the Mercedes driver addresses the Brazilian singer’s dad as ‘Sir’ and tells him how he wants to send him lots of love. Machado has earlier came out in support for the British driver on the latter suffering from ‘injustice’ in an ‘elitist sport’ like Formula One.
“Now I’m going to explain what happened, why it all happened so fast. Early last week, my dad suddenly had a stroke and went to the hospital in the middle of the night. I woke up in the morning with the news and I didn’t understand a thing because my father is always doing all the exams and taking care of himself,” said the singer in reference to the shock that came along with the detection of the cancer.

Anitta also mentioned how the past week had been full of turmoil for her and her family as they tried to take on this sensitive issue privately. The entire surgery to remove the cancer from Mauro’s lungs took a total time of 4 hours.
