Christian Horner has made headlines for the wrong reasons in the past few weeks. The 50-year-old was accused of inappropriate behavior by a female Red Bull employee. The Briton was cleared of all allegations recently. However, an alleged evidence leak has created further controversy regarding Horner. FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem has finally commented on the recent alleged revelation.

The FIA President reportedly met with F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali during the Bahrain GP weekend to discuss Horner’s case. It must be noted that the sports governing body might not have direct power to take action on Christian Horner. Previously, the FIA had even released a statement advocating for fairness and integrity in the entire process.

Now, Mohammed Ben Sulayem has finally spoken up on Horner’s alleged evidence leak. The 62-year-old admitted that Christian Horner’s case was damaging Formula 1 as the Briton remains a public figure for millions of fans. Moreover, the FIA President affirmed that the entire case was impacting the sport on a human level considering the allegations.

However, Ben Sulayem made it clear that the FIA had no plans of taking action on Horner for now. As the sports governing body had not received any formal complaint regarding the Red Bull Team Principal.

Christian Horner facing trouble over alleged evidence leak

Christian Horner has made it clear that he would not comment on anonymous speculation regarding the alleged leak. However, the Red Bull team boss’s ex-Spice Girl wife Geri Halliwell was reportedly feeling humiliated after the anonymous email allegedly leaked multiple pieces of evidence through a Google Drive link.

The 50-year-old has continued to serve as the Red Bull team boss during the Bahrain GP. However, Geri Halliwell might ditch the race entirely instead of supporting her husband on the grid. Although, Christian Horner and Halliwell have not commented regarding their relationship since the alleged leak took place.

Certainly, Christian Horner has found himself in a tough spot right at the start of the 2024 F1 season. The 50-year-old has repeatedly denied all accusations. Moreover, there has been no official confirmation regarding any alleged evidence that has made its way to the public domain. As such, it remains to be seen how things pan out for the Red Bull team boss in the coming days.
