Nico Rosberg sought an apology after an F1 Junior commentator referred to him as “Britney,” a nickname that his fellow drivers had given him throughout his tenure in the sport. Rosberg appeared in the commentary box during the children’s program and on the main Sky show. Junior presenters Zac, Braydon, and Scarlett questioned him there. As part of the special F1 junior stream, Rosberg was co-commentating the Hungarian Grand Prix with children when the event occurred.
Rosberg had shared the nickname earlier on in the show but had not intended for it to be used again. F1 junior presenter Scarlett said: “Good luck Britney, I hope you do well.” But, Rosberg quickly fired back: “No Scarlett that was not cool. I share a secret there with you guys, that was not cool at all.” Scarlett retaliated again: “Thank you, Britney.”But, Rosberg was not happy and demanded she stop. The 2016 champion commented: “Please apologize.” Scarlett replied: “Sorry.”
When Webber was displeased by Rosberg’s driving at the 2006 Brazilian Grand Prix, the name initially gained notoriety. He had been rear-ended by the German, who also broke his front wing in the process. When Nico Rosberg turned 30, Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton sang him “Happy Birthday Britney” while they were still at McLaren. Max Verstappen would go on to win Budapest on Sunday, giving him a bigger lead in the Championship, and Rosberg and the F1 Juniors would witness it.

The Mercedes frenemies–Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg
Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg have known each other since they were kids when they were friends in karting and junior formula. However, their friendship swiftly deteriorated once the two were at Mercedes contending for the title, and the pair had multiple on-track disputes between 2014 and 2016. Rosberg scored 22 victories, 50 podium places, and qualified 36 times ahead of Hamilton. During this time, Hamilton won the Formula One World Championship twice, and Rosberg once.
Despite the fact that they are no longer competitors, Hamilton and Rosberg confessed that they have little or no connection apart of the sport. Hamilton stated in a statement a year after Rosberg retired that he had no intention to repair his relationship with Rosberg and that the two had scarcely communicated despite living close to each other in Monaco.
