With Max Verstappen coming in clutch in Hungary, Red Bull broke McLaren’s legendary record of 11 consecutive wins in F1. He also has six fastest laps to his name of the 11 races completed this season. As he maintains a ferocious lead, former Mercedes driver and world champion Nico Rosberg has a warning for the Dutchman.
Rosberg warns Max Verstappen of becoming complacent due to his current standing. While he says that Verstappen’s character is not one of becoming over-confident, it is very natural for someone in his position to be smug and lose that position.
“He’s in such an incredible flow where no one can touch him, and that’s usually when there’s a risk of getting complacent and you lose a bit of motivation. But I don’t see that happening because the state of mind that he has is phenomenal and he’s so focused and so in the zone all the time. It’s like art, it’s amazing,” Rosberg told Sky Sports.
Verstappen joined Rosberg on the driver list with seven consecutive victories in F1 in Hungary. He will now be looking to extend this run at the Belgian Grand Prix, which is scheduled to take place on 30th July’23.

Max Verstappen looks forward to a rain-drenched sprint in Belgium

Belgian GP is one of the six Grand Prix to host a sprint race. It has been forecasted that rain might affect the sprint in Belgium in the upcoming weekend. But defending world champion Max Verstappen holds a positive outlook for the event.
Citing Spa-Francorchamps as his favorite track, Verstappen says that the rain will make the race chaotic and interesting at the same time. Verstappen is looking for one final winning performance before the summer break.
“I’m looking forward to the sprint race in Belgium. It looks like it is going to be quite a rainy weekend so we’ll se what impact that’ll have as it always makes it a bit more interesting and chaotic,” said Verstappen.
He also talked about his car’s performance on the track, particularly in high-speed corners. He said, “It will be interesting to see how our car will perform in the higher speed corners too. I hope we can deliver this weekend, it’s the final push before the summer break.”
