Nikita Mazepin makes “critical remarks” over Guenther Steiner’s treatment of Mick Schumacher

Nikita Mazepin the former Haas F1 driver has recently given his verdict on his former teammate’s delicate situation at the Haas team.

Mick Schumacher has recently come under a lot of criticism for the crashes that he has caused and his Team Principal Guenther Steiner has been the one who has been leading the charge by publicly warning the young German driver.

Nikita Mazepin believes that what Guenther did should not have happened and feels that a team is there to back one another and not to jump on each other’s shortcomings.

Mazepin was a bit surprised by Steiner’s recent comments and said, “I think you should always protect and support your own people, in any way possible.”

Nikita was the one who was kicked out of the team ahead of the 2022 season and after seeing Steiner’s way of handling Schumacher, the Russian is not pleased with him and has advised his former boss to keep his bearings going ahead into the season.

Nikita and Mick were not the best of friends during their time together at the Haas team and on most occasions were seen trying to dodge each other in the pits.

However, for Mazepin all that is in the past, and now that he is no more in Formula One has conveyed his support towards Mick by saying, “I don’t know people who read negative news about themselves and then start driving better.”

“If such public criticism helps someone, great. But I think it’s more useful to sit down with someone in person and express everything one-on-one.”

Given the scenes that Mazepin has witnessed this season at Haas, the Russian has asked both Steiner and Schumacher to have a sit down with each other and lay down everything out on the table.

Nikita who faced a lot of criticism during his time in the sport knows how it feels to get publicly criticized and thus has suggested to Guenther Steiner to not get carried away with his words during interviews and try to act more wisely.
