Nyck De Vries had been off social media for some time amidst recent news of his sacking. Before joining F1, the whole paddock had great expectations from the Dutch driver as he went on to prepare for his first full season with AlphaTauri. However, as the season started, everyone soon started to notice that the driver was not able to gel well with the car. This in turn became a repetitive occurrence.

After 10 races with AlphaTauri, the Dutch Driver got kicked out by the team due to his poor performances. While many critics said it was an unfair move, others agreed with the decision. It had also been revealed that Helmut Marko and Christian Horner had an argument over Nyck before signing him as the Brit team boss was against De Vries being signed by Red Bull.

After all this while, Nyck De Vries has finally resurfaced and addressed his premature exit from F1 being sacked by Red Bull. “I would like to thank Red Bull and Scuderia AlphaTauri for the opportunity to live my dream. Of course it hurts that the F1 chance I dreamed of for so long ended prematurely. But life is not a destination, it’s a journey, and sometimes you have to take the hard road to get where you want to be,” he stated.

In an interesting turn of events, Daniel Ricciardo will be the one replacing Nyck De Vries at AlphaTauri. A few days back, Daniel was supposed to drive the RB-19 during a Pirelli tyre test at Silverstone after the GP. The Aussie went on to do the same and put in some impressive lap times. His fastest was good enough to put him on the front row alongside Max Verstappen for the British GP.

It’s going to be a tough road for Nyck De Vries moving ahead. The Formula E world champion already met up with Toto Wolff following the announcement. That could open up another venue for the Dutchman. While his main goal is still to be in F1, it seems like that is going to take much longer than expected. Meanwhile, Daniel Ricciardo is preparing for his first race back at Red Bull wherein a lot of expectations will be riding upon him.
