Oliver Bearman, the Ferrari academy driver, wants to fulfill a childhood dream by earning an F1 seat next year. He was able to make his debut when Ferrari called him up as a replacement for Carlos Sainz, who had appendicitis. The latter stepped up in Ferrari’s SF-24 on Thursday. Bearman had a successful weekend as he finished above veterans like Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton.
The British driver was also appreciated by the Ferrari team principal, Frederic Vasseur, on the Radio for showing good results in the car. The 18-year-old driver got compliments from other drivers such as Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, etc after the race.

Bearman after completing the race, became the youngest British driver to compete in the sport. However, he will not get a permanent seat at Ferrari as they have already confirmed their driver line-up for 2025.
I don't know what else I can do because I don't think I'll be in F1 for the rest of the year. So that was my goal, to do a great weekend. I think I did a decent job, so that's alright and that's all I can do.Oliver Bearman said in an interview with Sky F1
Bearman stated that his goal was to have a great weekend in his F1 debut. He ardently feels that he was able to do a good enough job and is thus, quite pleased with his exploits.
Oliver Bearman sets eyes on Haas seat for 2025
Oliver Bearman has set his eyes on Haas’s seat in 2025. After an impressive debut with Ferrari, he will try to get a promotion to F1. The British driver has impressed everyone on the grid after qualifying P11. He then managed to finish the race P7.

The 18-year-old’s mature behavior and amazing results have given him a good place in the driver’s market. Haas’s both drivers, Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen are also out of contract at the end of 2024. Moreover, Bearman has also started to develop a relationship with Haas, which could see him taking one of the seats on the team next year.
I have a lot of practices with Haas this year, so I am looking forward to building up a relationship and gaining more miles in the car.Oliver Bearman said in an interview with Sky F1
Until 2025 comes around, the Brit needs to put in consistent performances in F2, which will make the US-based team more interested in him. Everyone has to wait for the end of the 2024 season to see the big driver changes in F1. Moreover, if Bearman comes to Haas, one of Magnussen and Hulkenberg will lose their seat.
