The fourth round of the Formula 1 2022 season at the Imola Grand Prix has been concluded. The weekend hosting the first sprint race on the Formula 1 calendar saw the Red Bull team achieve massive highs. At Ferrari’s home race, The Red Bull team managed to spoil their party by delivering a sensational result. Both Red Bull drivers, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez were successful in grabbing the opportunity by scoring just one less point than the maximum available for a team at the Imola Grand Prix.

The Red Bull team is notoriously known for winning four constructor titles consecutively from 2010-2013. The last time the Red Bull team had a 1-2 finish was at the 2016 Malaysian Grand Prix with Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen delivering the remarkable result. Red Bull team boss, Christian Horner was elated by the result as he said, “It’s fantastic, it’s one point off a maximum score across the whole weekend.”

The Milton Keynes based team, Red Bull did not have the smooth start to season that they would have liked with a fast car. The raging bulls failed to finish 3 out of the 6 times prior to the Imola Grand Prix, resulting in a loss of valuable points. The team principal, Christian Horner elaborated on this saying “We attacked the weekend from the word go and both drivers have been unbelievable. Picking ourselves up after the disappointment of Australia, to come back with a result like that, here in Imola, is one of our best ever results.”

The weekend in Italy has made a significant impact on both the drivers and constructors championship. The Red Bull team now are only 11 points behind Ferrari by scoring 58 points on enemy soil. On this Christian Horner said “It was important for us to take points off Ferrari which we’ve done in both championships. We’ll take a lot of confidence out of this weekend and try and build on it in Miami in two weeks’ time”

The Red Bull team had the weekend they desired out in Imola. The team capitalised on Ferrari’s misfortune and aims to carries this momentum forward. The season still entails a prospect of 19 races where the raging bulls, Red Bull have locked horns with the prancing horses, Ferrari.
