The F1 drivers' WhatsApp group has always been a fascinating thing from the point of view of the fans.

The F1 drivers’ group on WhatsApp has always remained a bit of a secret as to what happens on it other than official business. Fans have always been fascinated with it and ahead of the upcoming 2024 F1 season, McLaren’s Oscar Piastri has taken the time to spill the beans on it.
The Australian only joined the grid last year and has since been a member of the infamous F1 drivers’ WhatsApp group. Over the years, several kinds of speculation have popped up about the shenanigans taking place in the group.
However, Piastri’s reveal has broken the fans’ bubble. In a recent fun segment, the Australian was asked, Become an F1 driver to have access to the F1 drivers’ WhatsApp group, as a response, he said,
I hate to break it to everyone watching this video, but okay we do have a WhatsApp group, but it's not very exciting. For business purposes only, there's no memes flying around, there's no shots, its very official and very serious.

The McLaren driver, with his response, has made it quite clear that nothing exciting takes place on the F1 Drivers’ WhatsApp group. Moreover, has also made it known that the group usually boasts of official business that is of a very serious nature.
Oscar Piastri will be in the fans’ eyes during the 2024 F1 season
While Oscar Piastri has recently been spotted having a fun segment revealing the secrets of the F1 drivers’ group, he will have several eyes on him during the upcoming season. After some initial jitters last year, Piastri performed really well and on occasion, was able to take the fight to the prolific Lando Norris.
Keeping this in view, the McLaren F1 team and the fans all over the globe will be seen keeping close eyes on his exploits in the MCL38. The 22-year-old is immensely talented and is rated very highly.

While he was only able to manage 97 points in comparison to Norris’s 205 in 2023, he will be eying a much better campaign this year. Oscar Piastri is seen by many as a future world champion and thus, he will attract immense interest during the upcoming 24-race F1 calendar.
