The Alpine F1 team has surprisingly not got off to a decent start during the 2024 season. The A524 has not performed as per expectations and because of this; the team is currently plumb last in the Constructors Championship.
Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly have found it extremely difficult to get on top of the car and this has shown in their results in the first two races. In Jeddah, Ocon was only able to manage a P13 finish, whereas Gasly had to come away with a DNF because of a gearbox issue.
The whole world has seen the struggles of the Enstone-based team and the fans have not held back from mocking them for it. While it is somewhat okay to get bashed by fans from time to time, things are so bad that even reputed sports organizations like Paralympics have been mocking the team.
A post has recently surfaced on the web, in which the Paralympics organization has agreed with a fan comment that said,
Faster than an Alpine!
Oh for sure!As a response, the organization added,

Alpine’s Esteban Ocon was ‘not able to fight’ in Jeddah
While Alpine has become a source of laughter for a wider F1 audience, its drivers are not shying away from accepting that the A524 requires tremendous improvement. Ocon, after the Saudi Arabian GP admitted that he was not able to fight.
The 27-year-old was close to finishing in the top 10 for a certain point during the race, but despite his best efforts, he only fell backward on the grid.
I couldn't really fight. It's quite a big statement to say that we could fight. We managed to get in front of them somehow, but on a normal circuit, I think, with normal situations, and no fighting, we are still behind.Esteban Ocon said in an interview with Motorsport
The Alpine F1 team ended its 2023 campaign in a disappointing sixth place in the Constructors Championship. Moreover, if things do not improve from where they are at the moment, there is a very real possibility that they will end this year’s campaign in 10th position. It is high time that the team starts putting in decent performances.
