The Pele Foundation hails Max Verstappen’s record-winning Italian GP on the late football legend’s official social media handle

Max Verstappen created history at the Italian GP with a stellar victory. The two-time world champion won his tenth consecutive win in F1, breaking Sebastian Vettel‘s record of nine wins in a row. This new record has been praised by the entire sporting world. Now, the foundation started by late Football legend Pele has congratulated the Dutch driver.
The Pele Foundation hailed Verstappen’s historic record on the official Twitter handle of the late icon. The tweet congratulated the Dutch driver with the foundation claiming that Pele would’ve certainly celebrated the staggering success of the Red Bull driver. They wrote, “Ten straight wins. Ten times on top of the podium in a row. A new record. King Pelé had a love for Formula 1, and he would certainly be writing to you today, Max Verstappen.”
The charitable foundation mentioned that Max Verstappen’s tenth consecutive victory was a massive accomplishment. The late Football legend Pele used the number 10 during his long and successful career. Certainly, this makes Verstappen’s Italian GP win even more memorable.

Verstappen’s record-breaking streak of ten wins in a row started at the Miami GP and has continued throughout the season.
