Alex Albon has seen a massive rise in his stock as an F1 driver in the last few years. He had a sensational campaign during the 2023 season and while he is being seen as a prospect for the 2025 Mercedes seat, it has reportedly come to light that he has been offered a deal by Red Bull.

Ex-Williams manager turned F1 journalist, Peter Windsor, has made it known that Alex Albon has been offered a 3-year deal by the Red Bull F1 team starting from the 2025 season onwards.

While talking about the same on his YouTube channel (Let’s Talk F1), he said,

As I understand it, Albon has been offered a 3-year contract to start in 2025. So I think you're going to see him alongside Max Verstappen in the Red Bull. I can't imagine he's going to say no to that, from what I understand, it's 90 percent correct.

Windsor with his comments has dropped a huge bombshell in the world of F1. People are still reeling from the effects of the unprecedented Hamilton to Ferrari news, amidst this, the former manager has dropped another bomb with his Albon update. Red Bull dropped the Thai-British driver at the end of the 2020 F1 season.

Alex Albon will have several eyes on him in 2024

While Peter Windsor has admitted that Alex Albon has received an offer from Red Bull, nothing solid regarding this has come out of the Austrian team’s camp. However, if this is the case, he will most probably have several eyes glued on him during the upcoming 2024 F1 season.

The 27-year-old is a hot property in F1 at the moment for several reasons and considering this, teams like Mercedes and Red Bull would have to act quickly. In the end, it might come down to who offers Albon the most rewarding contract from the 2025 season onwards.

However, there is a strong possibility that he might continue with Williams beyond this year. He is an out-and-out leader on the Grove-based team and if the 2024 car works well, he might decide to stay put for at least a couple more years. Albon managed a brilliant 27 points during the 2023 season and singlehandedly carried the team to seventh place in the Constructors Championship.
