Pierre Gasly has had a pretty up-and-down first campaign with the Enstone-based Alpine F1 team. The outfit has had a mixed bag so far, and amidst the French team’s troubles, Gasly has taken the time to reflect on the factors that have made Max Verstappen unbeatable during the 2023 F1 season.
Max Verstappen has been in sensational form this year behind the wheel of Red Bulls RB19, and none of the other heavy hitters have even been able to come near him. He is currently on a winning streak of ten consecutive races and is tipped by many to continue his blistering run until the end.
Pierre Gasly has wholeheartedly applauded his former teammate. While talking about him ahead of the Singapore GP, he said, as reported by racingnnews365, “When you put all good ingredients together, you end up with a good dish. If you’re trying to do a good pizza with rotten tomatoes, it doesn’t work.”
“They’ve got a good base, they got a good car, they’ve got an excellent driver, he is the focus of the team. Everything is performing at its best at exactly the same moment, which is why they have ended up with such domination. He’s [Verstappen] performing at his best, I think Red Bull’s car is objectively and definitely the fastest in this paddock,” he added.

Max Verstappen is on course to secure his third consecutive F1 title
While Pierre Gasly has left no stone unturned in applauding Max Verstappen and Red Bull for their 2023 heroics, the former is very well on to secure his third consecutive F1 World Championship. He has kept a strong hold over the drivers’ title since 2021 and is looking to all-set to extend his run at the top.
Red Bull has managed to win all the races so far in the season, and it has been mostly down to the combination of Verstappen and the RB19. Sergio Perez, on occasion, has managed to chip in with a few victories, but it has been mostly down to the Dutchman’s exploits behind the wheel of Red Bull’s car.
As things stand, Max Verstappen has so far managed a highly impressive 364 points in the season with 12 victories and has got a very healthy lead over his competition. If he continues to rack up wins in the upcoming events, he could lift his third consecutive title even before the last race of the season in Abu Dhabi.
