Ralf Schumacher claims that Max Verstappen shouldn’t be compared with Michael Schumacher or Ayrton Senna

Dutch driver Max Verstappen has dominated this entire 2023 F1 season. Verstappen was crowned a world champion for the third consecutive time. Additionally, he won 17 out of the 20 races this season. The 26-year-old also broke the winning percentage record of Alberto Ascari by winning over 85% of the races this season.
Former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher has commented on the recent Verstappen dominance and talked about the comparison between him and the greats like Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher. Schumacher claimed that Verstappen had scored victories after victories and made no mistakes in the Brazilian GP.

The German believed that one shouldn’t compare Max Verstappen with the greats such as Schumacher and Senna. He exclaimed that they were great in their times. Additionally, Schumacher established that the comparison with Sergio Perez was still valid due to the same machinery and racing opportunities between both.
However, I am not in favor of making comparisons with my brother or Ayrton Senna. They were exceptional in their time. If you compare his performance with that of his partner Sergio Pérez, once again there was a big difference in the race.

Max Verstappen equaled the race victories of Ayrton Senna at the Canadian GP. Schumacher commented on this and recalled his karting days, which resonated with the mindset of wanting to win races. He insisted that he would have loved to equal such great records when he used to race.
The 48-year-old reckoned that it was incredible to equal a record of winning over 41 races in Formula 1. Additionally, he commented that he hoped that Max Verstappen would continue to win more races in the future and never stop winning races. Certainly, this can be seen as an unpopular opinion, as many in the paddock want to end Verstappen’s domination.
Max Verstappen has definitely impressed the entire world of Formula 1 with his dominant performance over the past two seasons. Verstappen continues to break records, and with the two remaining races, Verstappen aims to win even those races to create an unbreakable record for many generations.
