“Much bigger than any individual,” Ralf Schumacher doesn’t think Max Verstappen’s departure will negatively affect F1
Ralf Schumacher has shared his opinion on Max Verstappen's departure from the pinnacle of motor racing.
Ralf Schumacher and Max Verstappen
Max Verstappen is the hottest property in F1 at the moment, but despite this fact, former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher has made it known that his departure will not impact the sport. Schumacher deems the pinnacle of motor racing as much bigger than any individual and does not see any negative impact coming its way, even if the reigning World Champion decides to retire in the future years.
Ralf Schumacher, while sending light on the same, said, “The past, the present, and the future have shown or will show that Formula 1 is much bigger than any one individual,” said the winner of 6 career Grand Prix. Bernie Ecclestone is also gone, and without him, Formula 1 wouldn’t even exist – and yet now it’s more successful than ever.”
“So Verstappen should either pack up and leave or just accept it as it is. But I do understand his attitude because there are a lot of risks. But still, he gets paid to do it. Again, if he wants to go, then he should go. As much as I love him, it won’t kill Formula 1” Ralf Schumacher has used very strong remarks on the Max Verstappen situation in F1.
The Dutchman has previously indicated that he is not pleased with the incessant changes in F1 and has even threatened to leave the sport. However, despite Verstappen’s complaints, Ralf Schumacher is convinced that his departure from F1 will not have as significant an impact as some believe it would have.

Max Verstappen has hit the ground running in 2023
While the rumors have been making the rounds of Max Verstappen thinking about retiring from the F1, he has got off to an incredibly strong start during the ongoing F1 campaign. After three races, he leads the other 19 racers and has already put 69 points on the board with two race wins and one second-place finish.
The RB19 has proved too hot to handle for the other F1 drivers, and in the hands of Max Verstappen, the machinery has proved to be a lethal weapon. Except for Sergio Perez, no one has been able to put any pressure on the prolific Dutchman. Moreover, many pundits of the sport have already tipped him to win the World Championship again this year.
Taking into account the hype that surrounds Max Verstappen in F1 at the moment, it is quite understandable why people would think that his departure from F1 would not be good for the sport. However, F1 is the biggest motorsports event on the planet, and the departure of any driver, whomever it may be, will not bring the sport to a complete halt.
