Red Bull all set to welcome the Honda logo back from the Japanese GP onwards

Honda and Red Bull

Red Bull is all ready to welcome Honda back on its car logo after the Japanese car brand left the sport at the end of 2021. F1 moves on to Japan after a wait of two years due to Covid 19. To make it a very special one, Red Bull has decided to get Honda as their Title sponsor in RB18. Honda left Red Bull as the engine provider but still has a contract for the support group.

Honda has been a part of Red Bull since 2019, not only the Bulls but AlphaTauri as well. Honda has been a part of Red Bull’s success for a long time and they pushed Max Verstappen to his first world title and left the sport in 2021. But they still are in contact with Red Bull providing their support to Red Bull Power Train. Honda also looks forward to getting their hands on the 2026 regulated engine changes.

Christian Horner appreciates Honda for all the work they did for Red Bull: “Honda has invested significantly in hybrid technology over the course of our partnership. This has ensured the supply of competitive power units to both teams, for which we are very grateful. To mark this, we look forward to welcoming the Honda logo back onto the car from Suzuka onwards,” said Horner, as per Formula 1’s official website.

Helmut Marko pleased to have Honda back in the sport as the Red Bull Title sponsor

Red Bull with Honda as their engine supplier

Helmut Marko also opens up on being grateful to Honda for their work with Red Bull throughout the years. Red Bull before Honda wasn’t really as competitive as it grew up to be since it got a supporting hand from the Japanese car brand. On the other hand, Marko is recognised to be the mastermind to bring the names like Max Verstappen, Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo into the sport through his programme.

The Austrian said: “Oracle Red Bull Racing and Honda Racing Corporation have achieved great success in Formula One together. With these new agreements, we are proud to continue going from strength to strength with the technical support from HRC until the next generation of engines are introduced in 2026.

Marko is certain that their partnership with the Japanese manufacturer will bring more success to Red Bull: “We are confident this relationship with HRC will set us up for more success over the next three seasons and thank them for their ongoing support.”

Red Bull with the help of Honda is doing wonders since the 2021 season. They have been incredibly dominant in 2022 because of the help that Honda provided the team with. Ferrari and Mercedes currently look like a no challenge for the very dominating RB18, and the British team look all set to close out both championships. In particular, they have a chance to close out the WDC in Japan.
