The Red Bull Formula 1 team has been on the warpath during the 2023 F1 season, and former McLaren designer Gordon Murray feels the Christian Horner-led team can win all 23 Grand Prix this year. He has been left incredibly impressed with the brilliant job that the team has done with its RB19.

Gordan Murray was the designer of McLaren’s all-conquering MP4/4 of 1988, which won 15 out of the 16 events that year; keeping this in view, he thinks that the Milton-Keynes-based team can equal McLaren’s record and could even surpass it by winning all the races during the ongoing F1 season.

Murray, while shedding light on Red Bull’s magnificent beast, told TheSundayTimes, “Red Bull is a very well-run and disciplined team with a great understanding of aerodynamics. Having a stable and long-standing management and engineering team is an extremely important factor in the quest for F1 success.”

Recently I expected Mercedes to beat my 1988 grand prix win record but they never quite managed it. Red Bull have an excellent chance of beating it this year — they must win all but one race to achieve this and I will be watching with interest.” The F1 legend has not shied in any way from appreciating the work of the Red Bull team this year.

While Gordan Murray has backed the Red Bull team to win all the races this year, the team is also on course to win the 2023 Drivers and Constructors Championship. Max Verstappen sits comfortably at the Drivers’ standings, and Red Bull is also at the top in the Constructors.

The RB19 has proved too mighty for the other F1 teams, and how things are going, it seems very likely that the Austrian team will once again lift both prestigious trophies just like last year. Red Bull was incredibly dominant in 2022, and the same has been the case so far in the ongoing campaign.

However, being dominant is one thing, and winning all the races during an F1 season is another. F1 is an unpredictable sport, and if Red Bull slips up even once, there will be the lights of Mercedes and Aston Martin waiting to poach at least one victory away from the team.
