The Red Bull F1 team performed brilliantly during the 2023 Formula 1 season. They bashed their competition left and right quite easily but despite this fact, the Red Bull team principal, Christian Horner has claimed Lando Norris and his Mclaren can be a major player in the 2024 F1 title fight.
During the second leg of last year’s campaign, the MCL60 came alive and on occasion, was able to challenge the mighty RB19. Lando Norris put that car through the absolute wringer and it was mainly because of his efforts, that McLaren was able to get the better of Aston Martin.
Norris and his rookie teammate, Oscar Piastri, kept chipping away at opportunities and by the end of the 2023 campaign, were able to help their team finish the season in fourth place. Christian Horner is well aware of this fact and thus, recently told SkySports;
McLaren had a great second half of the year. With Lando and Oscar, I think they could well be a factor next year.

Looking at the reaction of the 50-year-old, it seems that not only Lando Norris but also Oscar Piastri would be able to have a say in the 2024 F1 world championship fight. Max Verstappen has won the coveted title thrice consecutively since the end of the 2021 season of the sport.
Lando Norris finished the 2023 F1 season in sixth place
While Christian Horner has made it known that the McLaren driver’s can have a say in this year’s title race, Lando Norris was one of the main shing lights of the 2023 camapign. Moreover, some of the pundits even deemed as one of the best drivers of the 2023 F1 season.
At the end of last year’s campaign, Norris was able to amass a brilliant total of 205 points and was also able to manage seven podium finishes. Moreover, he ended the twenty-race season in sixth place in the driver’s standings behind Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc.
